Katherine Cornell Gorka

Katie Gorka serves as Director of the Feulner Instituteā€™s Center for Civil Society and the American Dialogue at the Heritage Foundation. In this role, she focuses on protecting parental rights by promoting the importance of academic transparency, school choice, and pushing back against radical progressive content in the public school system. During our Mama Bear Workshops, Katie will discuss what exactly is being taught in the public school system and how parents can fight back.

Prior to joining Heritage, Katie served as a senior advisor in the Office of Policy at the Department of Homeland Security, press secretary for U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and a member of the Trump transition team.

Katie earned her B.A. in Comparative Literature at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her M.Sc. in Politics of the World Economy at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
